E360 – Cultural Innovation
Innovate through your company’s principals
The General objective to be achieved through this program will be seen through higher productivity, quality, reduced employee turnover rates and greater worker commitment within your organization.
Improve the Level of Awaraness
The program is based upon improving the level of awareness of the people involved. There are basically three levels of awareness and stages of human development. These three levels or stages are:
- Dependence. In this stage people feel disempowered, fear, and resentment towards authority. People react to this stage with rebellion and resistance. The attitude of rebellion and resistance contributes to apathy, turnover, and waste within the organization.
- Independence. This is a more advanced stage in which greater productivity is achieved. At the same time this stage gives rise to a lot of waste through ego and defending departments, positions, and other attitudes of separation and independence.
- Interdependence. This is the highest stage of development. This environment contributes toward a greater awareness of the whole and an understanding of the important of each individual and their contribution to the whole. This awareness reduces the tension and focuses everyone on self improvement and the improvement of the social unit, family, and company
Seminar Structure
The seminars consist of two (2) sessions, one of three (3) hours as an introduction and another of ten (10) hours taking participants through the stages to a greater awareness, change of paradigm and a sense of who they are and their importance to the whole. This provides people a sense of belonging, significants, perspective and contribution. All people want to feel important, that they contribute success to the whole and that they belong to an organization that cares about them and is itself successful.
Part One (2 hrs.): WHO AM I?
- This part focuses on the question, who am I? To understand who they are. To have a foundation to build upon, it is critical that people have a sense of self worth. In this world of great competition and little respect between people, it is unusual to find people who have a positive self image. People with a negative self image image project that unto others, their work and everything they do. Psychology posits that our self image is created during our first 7 years of life. In this stage people begin to understand that their self worth was created during a time when they were unconscious or unaware yet it has impacted every dimension of their life.
Part Two (2 hrs.): THE SELF
- This part creates a deeper sense of the Self. Understanding the internal battle between the person who is aware and wants to do the right thing and the engrained habits of the person who is reactive and defensive. This session eventually leads people to a process in which they can assimilate their past, understanding with humility and reduce aggression. To get people to understand that they are the creators of their lives instead of victims of the external world is an enormous step.
Part Three (2 hrs.): RESPONSIBILITY
- This part is about accepting responsibility for your actions. It is about moving forward from dependence to a much better stage called independence. In this stage the worker starts to understand that blaming the supervisor, the manager or their husband or wife arises out of the lack of understanding. To blame is to be a victim and to be a victim is to disown your power as a human being. At this stage people start to be more responsible, more understanding and to look inside. When people look inside they tend to have less tension with those around and to begin to accept responsibility for their actions.
Part Four (2 hrs.): INTERDEPENDENCE
- This part is about understanding interdependence. Interdependence begins with realizing that integrity is being whole between your own thoughts, words, and actions. Integrity is to be One. Furthermore, integrity is the glue for the proper functioning of groups and the reduction of tension. There is nothing more hurtful to people than to feel fooled, taken advantage off, humiliated or ridiculed. To be transparent and honest is to respect yourself and others. once you become whole with yourself you begin to better accept and respect others.
Part Five (2 hrs.): SYNTHESIS
- This part is about synthesis and bringing everything together. Learning to listen and comprehend instead of judging and imposing. Learning conflict resolution and negotiation that are beneficial to both sides. this perspective allows the individual to consider the overall benefits and to significantly reduce negative reactions. This stage is about knowing what you contribute to the whole instead of what you get out of it. This stage is about interdependence and realizing that everything we do affects others. There is great empowerment, balance, flexibility and gratitude in this stage.
Results
This program detailed above has been proven to create immediate results though the most dramatic results are seen over a period of 3 to 6 months. In our own manufacturing facility we have seen improvements of productivity in excess of 20% and reduction of turnover in excess of 4 percent points (from 10% to under 5% per month). The return on investment on just the reduction of turnover will more than justify the investment in your people.
